Britain Prefers a ‘Please’ or ‘Thank You’ Over a GBP (£)
Today the Daily Express website reported that many in Britain say they would prefer to receive a polite “please” or “thank you” from a stranger than be given £1. And, most people believe bad manners are the biggest problem in Britain today.
The study cites the top offences as spitting, swearing, queue-jumping, inconsiderate driving and speaking loudly on a mobile phone. Evidentally belching and passing wind is also becoming a problem.
And what about a solution? Most believe etiquette training in the schools is the answer.
The details of the study will be broadcast tomorrow on the United Kingdom’s network ITV1 – Bad Manners Britain.
